Getting paid over WhatsApp with a payment link
Learn how to send the payment link for each order over WhatsApp and decide when to use it instead of sending customers to the website: what to write right before the link, what to do if the customer doesn't pay right away, and where to check that the payment went through without having to ask.
The customer asks about price on WhatsApp, says yes, and that's where things stall: you send them to the website to pay, or ask for account details for a bank transfer, and the moment goes cold. They answer later, or never answer. When they finally pay, you don't know the money came in until you check the account or ask them yourself. And if every order is different, you're not sure whether to reuse the same link or make a new one each time.
This course walks lesson by lesson through that exact moment: when to swap the website for a link right in the chat, whether that link is fixed or made to order, and what to write right before it so no one has to ask what they're paying for. Then it covers what happens if the customer doesn't pay right away: how long to wait, what to say in the reminder, and when to let the slot go. It ends with what happens once they pay: where you see the payment come in, the receipt the customer gets, and the message you send back with the time or link they need.
This is for anyone who already sells or takes payments over WhatsApp and wants to charge with a link right in the chat instead of sending customers to the website or asking for a bank transfer. It's not for someone who doesn't use WhatsApp to sell yet.
- Choosing the exact moment you stop sending the website and start sending the payment link
- Decide whether to use a fixed link or create a new one for each order, so you never waste time or get the amount wrong
- Writing the message that goes before the link so the customer knows what they're paying for without asking
- Knowing where to check that the customer paid and what time or deadline to confirm back in the same chat
Already selling over WhatsApp and have something with a set price.
The 6 lessons
In the order it makes the most sense to read them.
- 1
The point where the website stops being necessary
Know the exact line in the conversation where the website or bank transfer gets replaced by the payment link inside the chat.
7 min - 2
One link for everyone, or one for each order
Know on the spot whether the link you send should always be the same or custom-built for that order, without wasting time or undercharging.
5 min - 3
What you say right before the button shows up
You'll know exactly what to write right before the payment link so the customer understands what they're paying for without having to ask, and when to make that message longer versus keeping it to one line.
6 min - 4
A reminder and a deadline: how to let a slot go without losing the customer
You'll know how long to wait before resending the link depending on what you sell, what to write to the customer in the reminder, and how to let the slot go without them feeling let down.
6 min - 5
Knowing they paid without having to ask
How you find out a payment has come in through your bank's and your payment processor's alerts, and what to tell the customer as soon as you see it, so no one has to ask whether the payment went through.
6 min - 6
The first thing you write as soon as you see the payment
Make sure the message you send as soon as you see the payment doesn't just confirm it, but also includes the time, deadline, or link the customer needs for what comes next.
