What your WhatsApp bot needs to know, from the greeting to the payment
Knows what their WhatsApp bot needs to know to answer well: what business details it uses, what it does when it doesn't know something, and when it offers the booking or payment link. By the end, they have their business details fully filled in on the dashboard and the bot tested with real questions.
Your WhatsApp bot is connected and you're not sure what to tell it. With half the data, it answers with the little it has and doesn't solve what customers really ask. And you're not clear on what it needs to know to offer the booking or payment link at the right moment: not too early, which scares people off, and not too late, which loses the sale.
This course sorts out what your bot needs to know. First you sketch on paper the four stops every conversation passes through and how each one can end, so you can see what data is missing. Then you fill in your business data in the dashboard: the prices, the terms, and the booking info your bot uses to answer and offer the link, and you decide what happens when a conversation gets handed to you. You test it with your real customers' tough questions, not the easy ones. You finish with your business data complete in the dashboard, ready to fine-tune with the first week's conversations.
This is for you if you already have your WhatsApp bot up and running and want it to answer with your business data complete, not if you haven't yet decided what you sell or how you charge for it.
- Sketch the four stops of a conversation and know at which one the bot offers the booking or payment link
- Thinking through each conversation by starting with how it ends, not with the greeting
- Fill in your business data with the prices, terms, and booking info your bot uses to answer and offer the booking or payment link
- Deciding what you do when the bot hands you a conversation, and how you'll know it's your turn to answer
You should already have your WhatsApp bot up and running and know your booking or payment link.
The 6 lessons
In the order it makes the most sense to read them.
- 1
The conversation's stops, before the lines
By the end, you'll have your script's four fixed stops written down on a sheet, and you'll know exactly which one gets the booking or payment link.
7 min - 2
Write the ending first, not the beginning
By the end, you'll have identified the four possible endings of a conversation and written out one full branch backward from its last line, to check that your business data covers each ending and to use when you answer yourself.
8 min - 3
When the bot offers the link
By the end, you'll know when a set phrase is enough to send the booking or payment link and when you need to name what the customer asked for, with a closed list of exact names, and you'll have tested how your bot handles it.
7 min - 4
When the bot hands off to you
By the end, you'll have written the first message you send when you pick up a conversation handed off by the bot, including what you understood and when you'll reply, and you'll have checked how the handoff alert reaches you.
4 min - 5
Test it with the questions people actually ask you, not the easy ones
By the end, you've tested your WhatsApp bot with your customers' real questions, not the easy ones, and you have a list of where it breaks before you let it answer on its own.
5 min - 6
Turn on the bot today, then fine-tune it with your first real week
By the end, you'll have your WhatsApp bot answering everyone, with the handoff to a person tested, and you'll know what criteria to use to fine-tune it with the real conversations from the first seven days.
